Vocabulary List That Needs Explanation

General Plan

For my project I am going to do it at school and when it comes to the vaccination in will take it home and bring it back. What I am doing is taking notes and pictures to show how salt affect's the plant growth. The things that i measured was the amount of salt in each bottle that i am going to feed to the plants i am also measuring how tall the plant will grow. At the end I am looking for the fact that salt will kill the plant or make it grow more.

Potential Problems And Solutions

I have salt water and water that dose not have salt.I am going to water bean plants in three different containers. I will have three seeds in each cup and i will water them to see if the salt water will make the plant grow less or more.

Safety Or Environmental Concerns

The plant that has salt will grow more or die.

Experimental Design

(add the correct headings from the experimental design page before beginning)

What is your experimental unit:

My unit is my plants witch I have 3 .

Number Of Trials:

In my project has three trials for each unit.

Number Of Subjects In Each trial:

I had three for each

Number of Observations:

I think that I will have to measure my plants every day if possible.

When data will be collected

The time I figure that my project will be done on 2/24/14 .

Where will data be collected?:

I have collected my data on a piece of paper that each day or so I jot down the changes of my project.

Detailed Procedure

STEPS
1.) I got three cups
2.) I got three seeds (bean seeds)
3.) I got fertilizer
4.) I put the fertilizer in the cups ( 225 ml)
5.) Than I put my salt amounts into containers that would last me through my project.
6.) Than I watered my plants and took notes and pictures. I also watered the plants every other day if I can.
7.) Than I put my data pictures and made graphs to show my plants growth on my science fair wiki account.

Results

During my experiment, I took notes on three plant's with diffident types of salt like one with no salt, saturated salt and dissolved salt. During my project I have noticed that the first week that the plant with no salt is growing faster than the plants with salt. First my project stared of slow than the plant with no salt shot up like a weed and that is when I started to noticed the patter. The pattern is that the plant's with no salt grows the more the plants grow with salt.

Conclusion

I hypothesized that the plants with salt would die and the plants without salt would grow and live. My result were the plants that had salt died and the plant with no salt lived , so I except my hypothesize.

Discussion

Discussion:
The pattern that I saw was at the end when my plant with no salt stopped growing. The reason that this happened was because I over watered my plant. When I was done with my expremat my question was answered because I predicted that the plant with salt would grow more and the plant with salt would die and that was my results. In my project I over watered my plant and it died lucky for me that it died at the end of my experiment. If I could I would water my plants with more care.
